Asia Pacific College (APC) proudly announces a significant milestone in its academic journey: the Information Technology (IT) program has been granted Level III Reaccredited Status by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP), following a rigorous evaluation conducted by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). This prestigious recognition is valid until November 2027.
The Level III status is a testament to APC’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and continuous quality improvement. It signifies that the IT program has satisfactorily met the standards and fulfilled all the requirements set forth by PAASCU, including high-quality instruction, sustainable community extension programs, innovative and collaborative industry and academic linkages, strong faculty development tradition, and effective internal quality assurance mechanisms.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that the IT program is now the first among all APC programs to attain Level III accreditation—a historic first for the institution. This sets a benchmark for other academic departments and reinforces APC’s position as a leader in delivering future-ready education.
Ms. Rhea-Luz Valbuena, IT Program Director and the Executive Director of the School of Computing and Information Technologies (SoCIT), emphasized that “APC’s BSIT Level III recognition by PAASCU is a celebration of our students, faculty and staff who continue to push boundaries, as well as the trust and unwavering support of our industry partners for SoCIT. This milestone reaffirms our commitment to excellence, deeply rooted in APC’s core values of innovation, integrity, and industry. It reflects our belief that by thinking ahead, planning with purpose, and delivering the right education for today—we can achieve purposeful innovation in education and prepare our graduates to lead with confidence in the future. Our sincere thanks to PAASCU and FAAP for recognizing the APC community’s collective efforts toward 21st-century learning.”
Congratulations to the entire APC community for this landmark achievement—an inspiring testament to our shared pursuit of academic excellence. May this success pave the way for more programs to attain greater heights in the years ahead.
