APC Faculty Earn MIE Certification for AY 2025–2026

Asia Pacific College (APC) Faculty has once again demonstrated its commitment to lifelong learning and educational innovation as fifty-nine (59) of its full-time faculty and adjunct lecturers earned certification as Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert for the 2025-2026 program year.

This success marks a key step in APC’s journey toward renewing its status as a Microsoft Showcase School, reaffirming its commitment to educational innovation and excellence.

“The process was bit new to me,” says SHS Faculty Tracy Kalingasan. “But through this certification, I was able to be more aware of other applications to use in my class. The proper use of AI was one of the things I appreciated as I wanted to learn on how to manipulate, but more than that are the various tools that we can share with the class.”

Engr. Joe Robert Lucena, a faculty member from the School of Engineering (SOE) shared how the program introduced him to various tools. “It helped me efficiently deliver complex engineering topics and assessments, which often require different materials like readings and audio-visual aids,” he notes.

This certification not only promotes the professional growth of APC faculty but also encourages them to adopt innovative and effective teaching practices that enhance students’ learning experiences.

This achievement is more than just a badge; it reflects the passion, dedication, and teamwork of the APC community.

Congratulations to everyone! Let’s continue to inspire, empower, and transform education together!
